Rushcliffe CVS works to support independent living, particularly for those who are frail, elderly and vulnerable. We help people to stay physically and socially active, feel less isolated and improve their wellbeing.
We do this both through our volunteering support, and by providing the following services:
Our dedicated volunteers provide safe and affordable journeys for people in Rushcliffe & Gedling, who find it difficult to get out and about.
Voluntary Transport Plus
Transport with additional personal help during and at each end of the journey (such as help with shopping).
Regular phone calls from our befriending volunteers provide a reassuring lifeline for those who feel lonely and isolated.
This friendly and reliable service is designed to enable you or your loved ones to carry on living successfully and happily at home.
As a charity, we’re proud of the reputation we have for providing support and services which are both high-quality and kind, trustworthy and caring.

We also manage and run the Visitors’ Centre at HMP Whatton on behalf of the Prison Service. For more information, click here.
We’re passionate believers in the power of volunteering. It changes lives for the better. That’s why we encourage and support people to get involved.
