Get involved!

Volunteers make a huge contribution to local communities and with the people and places they help. If you're wondering about what you could do then this is a great place to start. There are so many opportunities to get involved in volunteering whether it is with a wildlife trust, a scout group, through a sports organisation or campaigning for a charity, to name but a few.
Volunteering can help you to gain skills and confidence, get valuable work experience, meet new people as well as making a big difference.

Not sure where to start? If you'd like to volunteer but are unsure about what you could do or where, then we recommend you do 2 things:

Visit the do-it website. This site allows you put in your postcode and interests and to search through the volunteering opportunities that are local to you.

altMake an appointment to see our Volunteer Centre Organiser for a confidential one-to-one interview. We will be able to discuss your interests and what you would like to do with you and put you in touch with suitable opportunities. We'll also be able to advise you if you have any additional or special needs, need to access training or get a DBS check, for example.
