Partnership working and networks

Rushcliffe Community and Voluntary Service work with organisations from voluntary, community, statutory and private sectors

We work in close partnership with other infrastructure organisations offering support to the community and voluntary sector. These are included in the section Useful Organisations and websites.

We work closely with Nottinghamshire County Council, Rushcliffe Borough Council, Rushcliffe Business Partnership and Rural Community Action Nottinghamshire and the Rushcliffe Health Partnership.

The Rushcliffe Health Partnership  is made up of partners in health and other related organisations.  An annual action plan is produced to focus and deliver partnership work on the priorities for health.  Collectively and through the delivery of our priorities we are working to make Rushcliffe a healthier Borough and provide our residents with the right opportunities to enable them to make healthy choices that ultimately improve their well-being.

Through local strategies and reports  and with consultation with the partnership the following four health priorities have been agreed:

  • To reduce the prevalence of obesity in Rushcliffe through targeted interventions which tackle participation in physical activity and healthy eating
  • To reduce the number of people who smoke and are exposed to second hand smoke in Rushcliffe
  • To raise awareness of substance misuse
  • To promote health and well-being issues that reflect the needs of the Rushcliffe population

Rushcliffe CVS arrange meetings and events in order to provide information, facilitate consultation and  enable people from different organisations to meet together and exchange information.

Rushcliffe Voluntary Sector Forum
Launched in April 2013, Rushcliffe Voluntary Sector Forum aims to be both a voice for local communities and a powerhouse for voluntary sector development. The forum replaces the Building Stronger Communities (BSC) theme group which used to be a part of Rushcliffe Community Partnership - the local strategic partnership made up of partners from the statutory, voluntary and private sectors.

Rushcliffe Together Community Cohesion Network
Rushcliffe CVS leads on this network which brings together multi sector organisations to promote diversity, acceptance and participation. More information can be found here
