Would you like to volunteer with us and help make a difference to your community?

Rushcliffe Befriends is a peer supported scheme so if you are over 50, live in Rushcliffe and have a few hours a week to spare, we‘d love to hear from you. We are looking for people who are good listeners, reliable, non-judgmental and like meeting people. In return we provide out of pocket expenses, offer on-going support and organise quarterly volunteer meetings and social events.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please click on the PDF for further information pdfhere.

Our volunteers love what they do and feel it has made a difference to their own lives. A recent quote describes the scheme perfectly:

“Everyone enjoys a natter with a friendly person who isn’t judgmental or critical and who can offer a listening ear and conversation. It can be a lifeline to those who are the most isolated”.

As part of the scheme we publish an Activity Directory which contains activities, events and organizations throughout Rushcliffe. This is also available for anyone to download and is updated regularly.
