Sue Knowles, the Rushcliffe CVS Health Development Worker works with NHS Rushcliffe Clinical Commissioning Group, patients and voluntary and community groups to help improve health services in Rushcliffe. Her role is to:

  • Inform community and voluntary groups about what health activity is happening in Rushcliffe
  • Support local voluntary and community groups that support people with health conditions such as the Rushcliffe Stroke Survivors Group
  • Promote key health messages to the local community through campaigns such as ‘Stop-Smoking campaign’ and ‘Eat Well 4 Life’
  • Give talks to voluntary and community groups with a health focus
  • Be a link between individuals, organisations, groups, NHS Rushcliffe CCG so that health issues can be promoted and issues can be raised
  • Be involved in the NHS Rushcliffe CCG Health Network and to chair a number of forums including the Diabetes and Cancer forums, 50+ Health subgroup and the Mental Health and Wellbeing partnership
